Elk & mule Deer Hunt Information

Korell Outfitters offers two different options for their elk and deer hunts: an all-inclusive, fully guided hunt or a drop camp hunt. Our guided hunts are our most popular option and have had a 75% success rate of the last 10 years. The drop camp hunts are great for hunters with a lot of previous experience that want to give it a try doing it on their own. 

Both our elk and deer hunts take place in IDFG Units 33 and 35, all on public land. This is a roadless area so hunter densities are fairly low. All of our camps are only accessible by horseback and mule string. These camps are between an hour and two hour rides making it far enough to get away from foot hunters but close enough to be enjoyable. The hunting is done either by foot or horseback. 

All camps are set up surrounded by beautiful Idaho scenery. The tents are 14 X 16 and 16 X 20 canvas wall tents furnished with carpet, cots, foams, chairs, tables, wood stoves, and an outdoor shower for those wanting to brave the cold. 

We can provide transportation to and from the Boise, Idaho airport and both the license and tags can be purchased through us. 

The fully guided, all-inclusive hunt is a total of 8 days. It will consist of one ride in day, six full days of hunting, and one ride out day. This option will include a guide, cook, all meals, a fully furnished camp, field dressing, and caring for your trophy/meat. The only thing the clients will need to provide is their personal gear, weapon/ammo, sleeping bag, license/tag fees, taxidermy, meat processing, and shipment.

The drop camp hunt option is an 8 day hunt consisting of a ride in day, six full days of hunting, and a ride out day. Korell Outfitters will provide a fully furnished camp with all necessary equipment, rides into and out of camp, and the packing of any game harvested back to the trailhead. The clients must provide their own personal gear, weapon/ammo, license/tag fees, food, caping, field dressing, meat processing, taxidermy, meat processing, and shipment.
